The R.H.S. London Orchid Show on 15/16 March was a great event and well-attended from this country and all over Europe - just like old times!  Ratcliffe's exhibit centrepieced a stunning plant
of Cypripedium formosanum, kindly lent by Allan Burdis (member of the British Paph. Society and
of Bournemouth Orchid Society) which was awarded a Cultural Commendation by the RHS judges.

THE BRITISH PAPHIOPEDILUM SOCIETY

In response to members' requests, the annual Summer Meeting on 28 June 2008 will take the form of a one-day event at Chilton Village Hall, Oxfordshire.   Guest speaker is internationally-renowned taxonomist Dr. Guido Braem from Germany.  From past experience, this promises to be a lively

event - don't miss it!  Details in due course from the British Paph Society Membership Secretary at http://www.paphiopedilum.org.uk - why not ask to hear more about this prestigious group!
